PRINT QUALITY
The PIXMA G-Series printer did its job pretty well from our brief use. The print quality is very good for a printer at this price point. We’ve used other printers, and the differences are stark.
This is especially true when printing images on glossy paper with the borderless option enabled, as this ensures that your image reaches the edges of the paper without distracting white borders.
PRINT SPEED
It’s not super fast, but fast enough not to be annoying. While printers in this price range tend to take a long time to deliver your prints, we found the PIXMA G3411 quite fast.
From our tests, the printer will send a single black and white page in about 10 seconds, while a color page will send in about 30 seconds. However, photos and images printed on tougher paper like the glossy paper we tested took two and a half minutes to complete.
WIRELESS CONNECTIVITY
While most printers today support wireless connectivity, the Canon PIXMA G-Series has improved it by including a companion app for your smartphone. We found this app very useful as it has more features than the desktop companion on PC.
For example, the mobile app has more image templates for printing your photos, attractive templates including collages, printing your images as calendars, and even printing business cards, party invitations, stickers, posters, and much more from your phone.
